A Little Bit About Red Sea Rising

Red Sea Rising is a Southern California based rock band combining the exceptional talents of 6 musicians. These talented artists combined their experiences in the business and decided to come together to create the vision for their masterpiece effort.

Jeffrey Kerr (Jett Ryder) ,the lead singer, has an amazing set of pipes and an incredible stage presence. Jett is the newcomer to the project and his awe inspiring vocal skills are what cause him to be the perfect fit for Red Sea Rising.

David Franklin is a drummer extraordinaire. He is a young, extremely talented drummer who is also the top engineer on this album and for the record company, Three Worlds Away Records.

KC Anderson is an incredibly gifted bass player who comes from a long line of musicians. He graduated from Bass Institute of Technology (BIT) and is one of the most versatile players in the business, especially for a guy who is so young. KC can and does compete with the finest bass players in the world.

Steve Kapeller is a virtuoso with his vocal skills and amazing drumming / keyboarding. His writing and composing skills are beyond compare and his ability to play multiple instruments makes him a most integral part of Red Sea Rising. Steve is the consummate musician.

Jimmy Salazar is an amazing rhythm guitar player who can segue into lead guitar without blinking an eye. He also has a vocal range that is unsurpassed. His technical ability in the studio allows him to have complete and total mastery of all production levels of the band. Jimmy has one of the best ears in the business and is an amazingly talented writer.

Ken Pinkstaff (AKA Gunner Slinger) is an amazing lead guitar player whose fingers literally burn through songs with a power that is unmatched in the business. He is the band founder and has an innate ability to find the perfect people to put in place to formulate a band that met the criteria for his musical vision. Ken is also the executive producer, writer and engineer for all things Red Sea Rising. His vision has finally come to fruition with his careful choices in musicians.

The first album ”Eye of the Storm” is set for release in January 2011 and has been test marketed worldwide utilizing the Facebook social networking tool. The initial reception has been so overwhelming that it caused them to begin their second album even as the first is just being released.

Red Sea Rising is all about the soaring melody hooks and flawless lead guitar riffs that will leave your spine tingling and your ears wanting more. Melodic, haunting vocals will draw you in with their storytelling lyrics and the poetry of the writing. It is an emotional and powerful experience that pulls you into the music and keeps you enthralled from the very first note!
