Little Italy aka L.I. was born in New York City on January 3, 1995. Her love of music and acting started from an early age, which leads to an uncanny gift of creating catchy lyrics and melodies. This passion then turned to recording music. L.I. captures an array of music genres which include: Pop/Rock, Hip Hop, Rap and R & B, which in turn makes her a very unique and diversified Artist!
L.I. was chosen in place of Jordin Sparks (American Idol) to open for “Disney Hit Star”, Jesse McCartney on his Departures Tour in many states. She was the ONLY ONE chosen to open for Kool & the Gang at the Ballooning Festival in Jersey, 2009, which included other openers, Meaghan Martin (singer/actress “Camp Rock”) and One Call (Jonas Bros/Britney Spears opener), in front of 100 000+ in attendance! After L.I.’s performance, she signed autographs for ALL fans, during which time she sold 986 CD’s! This shows her devotion and compassion. Christmas 2009, L.I. went on the tour “Christmas with Me” with Radio Disney in four states.
Little Italy has two CD’s released by Royal Crown Records and Productions ©. Her first album “Put on Some Music” was released on early demand from fans and SOLD OUT Downtown Disney within one week! L.I. quickly rose into the Top Five Artists on XL 106.7 FM, Orlando Fl’s “Next Big Thing” chart. She was the #1 TOP FEMALE Artist with six other Artists out of thousands of Artists. Little Italy was the #1 FEMALE ARTIST to be left remaining with the Top Five Male Artist in the "Next Big Thing".
Her songs have also been in the “Top 20” request lists amongst 400 radio stations worldwide, including Radio Disney and XM Satellite Radio (plays on United Airlines). Her song ,"Ice Cream" won in the Top Ten songs of the year for 2008 in the “Songwriters Showcase of America”! Her second album “I am UnStoppable” was released and song “Beautiful Smile” won in the Top Ten song’s of the year for 2009 in the “Songwriters Showcase of America”! Her song “I am UnStoppable” won a PLATINUM AUDDY AWARD!
Joe Fatone Sr. (father of Joey Fatone , NSYNC) and a manager of L.I.’s described her as: “L.I. short for Little Italy, but not short on talent. Born fifteen years ago, she is a hot act on the heels of all young lady acts out there you can name. A young girl with talent is common; a young one with this much talent is unheard of. HOT TOPIC, known for supporting musicians invited L.I. to do a regional tour singing to fans who packed the stores. In further recognition of L.I.’s rise in popularity, she made many appearances at Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and House of Blues. During these appearances fans lined up often blocking entrances and exits, eagerly awaiting autographs!
Little Italy’s career also includes extensive theater, dancing, and television. All of her abilities enrolled together make this a very young, talented, diversified Artist and Entertainer. Little Italy will become a name that will cross the lips of many people worldwide.
